Portoxit® – MIXING TECHNOLOGY THOUGHT THROUGH TO THE END

PORTOXIT®

Two screed systems, one revolution.
The future of screed. The Dragon Truck.

Advantages of the Portoxit® mixing plant compared to...

...a standard mixing plant

  • Flexibility thanks Portoxit®
(Standard mixing plants usually only have one function for carrying out screed work, e.g. cement screed mortar, self-levelling screed mortar or cement-bound polystyrene fill.)
  • No refilling required
(Commercially available mixing plants at company premises are usually filled or topped up with cement and sand. Cement is stored in storage silos, whilst sand is temporarily stored in bins, before everything is transported to the building site.)

...a conventional screed mortar mix

  • Exact screed grades are achieved – flexibility thanks to Portoxit®
(Mixing ratios from 1:4 to 1:8 are possible. If the quantities of cement, sand and water added are inconsistent, the required screed grades are often not achieved and cannot be verified.)
  • Reliable, homogeneous mix
(With a fully automatic, electronically controlled Portoxit® mixing plant, all required screed grades can be reliably achieved.)
  • Portoxit® represents a completely new way of working with screed mortar!

The mixing process

The state-of-the-art mixing plant features two binder chambers, a sand chamber, a water tank, two tanks for liquid admixtures and a tank for powdered admixtures. The compressor and the generator ensure the plant can operate independently on site. A screw conveyor system feeds the binders and sand into a disc mixer for pre-mixing. The liquid admixtures are added via a feed pump. The formulation settings for the components, tailored to specific requirements (99 formulations possible), are managed via an electronic control system which regulates and documents the mixing and feeding processes. The disc mixer is fitted with a set of scales for monitoring purposes. The compressed air feed chamber is filled via a slide valve in the disc mixer; once filled, it is sealed and the feeding process begins. The disc mixer is refilled whilst feeding is in progress. This enables continuous feeding of screed mortar, taking the mixing time into account.

In concrete plants, drum mixers are used to produce large quantities of concrete.

Simultaneous feeding of all aggregates
 (sand, cement, water and admixtures)

Faster and more uniform mixing of the components due to the disc mixer’s larger base area

Time savings
(With conventional screed mortar mixing and in mixing plants, the aggregates can only be added one after the other. This results in longer mixing and re-mixing times.)

The binder chambers can be filled using big bags with a crane or a blow-in silo lorry

  • 1. Binder storage chamber for cement, volume approx. 8 m³
  • 2. Binder storage chamber, volume approx. 4.5 m³
  • 1 storage compartment for additive, approx. 180 kg
  • 1 sand storage compartment, volume approx. 8.5 m³
  • 1 30 kVA power generator
  • 1 compressor, 5,300 l/min
  • 1 hose reel for 80 running metres
  • 1 high-pressure cleaner
  • 1 small compressor for compressed air
  • 1 water storage tank with pump, approx. 400 l
  • 2 additive tanks with pumps for liquid additives,
    1st tank approx. 100 l / 2nd tank approx. 25 l

Making work easier with Portoxit Portoxit®

  • All refilling work is carried out using a crane

  • The mixer is not permanently exposed to the elements

  • All work involved in achieving the required screed quality is carried out whilst standing

  • There is no longer any need to carry out work whilst bent over or kneeling
